La 3e journée de la Ligue des Champions s’est déroulée cette semaine et plusieurs joueurs passés par le Festival International Espoirs se sont distingués.
Quand le Real Madrid joue, le nom de Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal – 2003) est sur toutes les lèvres. Ce fut encore le cas, ce mercredi, lors de la victoire de la formation madrilène sur le terrain de Liverpool (3-0). Magnifiquement lancé par James Rodriguez (Colombie – 2011), le Ballon d’Or a ouvert le score grâce à un superbe tir instantané.
Moins spectaculaire mais tout aussi efficace : Hector Herrera (Mexique – 2012) a également marqué le premier but de son équipe. Une réalisation qui permet à Porto de vaincre l’Athletic Bilbao (2-1). Même scénario pour Loïc Rémy (France – 2007) qui a inscrit un but très tôt dans la rencontre lors du récital de Chelsea face à Maribor (6-0).
A noter également que Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Pays-Bas – 2001) a été, encore une fois, décisif avec Schalke 04. L’attaquant néerlandais a marqué le but qui a donné l’avantage à son équipe. Finalement, les Allemands ont battu le Sporting CP au terme d’un match palpitant (4-3).

The UEFA Champion’s League returned this week with the Matchday 3. Many players who took part in the Toulon Tournament distinguished themselves.
Whenever Real Madrid plays, Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal – 2003) is the name on everybody’s lips. It was the case, once again this Wednesday, during the Real Madrid win against Liverpool (3-0). After a wonderful pass of James Rodriguez (Colombia – 2011), the Ballon d’Or has opened the scoring thanks to a stunning shot !
Less spectacular but efficient too : Hector Herrera (Mexico – 2012) has also scored the first goal of his team. This goal helped Porto to win against Athletic Bilbao (2-1). Same scenario for Loïc Rémy (France – 2007) who opened the scoring early for Chelsea against Maribor (6-0).
It should also be noted that Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Netherlands – 2001) rescued again Schalke 04. The Dutch striker scored a goal and gave the lead to his team. Finally, the German side beat Sporting CP after a thrilling-game (4-3).
