61 Tournoi Maurice Revello graduates to compete in the 23/24 UEFA Champions League

Europe's most prestigious competition returns on Tuesday, with 61 players who have taken part in the Maurice Revello Tournament registered by their clubs to take part in the Champions League. Here's the recap.

Last 10th June, in Istanbul, Ederson, Ruben Dias, Jack Grealish and co wrote the most beautiful page in Manchester City's history. After overcoming Inter Milan, the Citizens had won their first-ever Champions League, and in the process completed the first-ever treble (Cup-League-LDC) in the history of the English club. A few months later, on the eve of the 2023-2024 Champions League campaign, they are now looking forward to defending their title.

The competition will be fierce, however, with giants such as Real Madrid and the Bayern Munich of Mathys Tel (joint top scorer at the Maurice Revello Tournament 2023) also aiming for the ultimate glory. Meanwhile, galvanised by their fine performances last season (finalists and semi-finalists respectively in 2022/2023), Inter and Fikayo Tomori's AC Milan are entering this campaign with ambition.

Obviously, other clubs will also be in the mix : Barcelona and their new signing Joao Cancelo are looking to rediscover their winning ways, while Marquinhos' Paris Saint-Germain will once again be trying to realise their ultimate dream: winning the Champions League. To that end, the Parisians have spared no expense this summer in recruiting Portuguese international Gonçalo Ramos (who played at the Maurice Revello Tournament in 2019) for a reported €80m.

At the same time, the Manchester United of Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho (revelation of the Maurice Revello Tournament 2022) want to confirm on the European stage the resurgence seen in the Premier League. An ambition shared by Aaron Ramsdale and his Arsenal teammates.
