Richardson, Lenis, Vargas... The Maurice Revello Tournament graduates burst onto the international scene

Each international break is the opportunity for several players who took part in the Maurice Revello Tournament to make their international debut. Over the last days, some of them earned their first international cap.

Amir Richardson (Morocco) : winner of the Maurice Revello Tournament 2022 with France, the Stade de Reims player has switched his international allegiance over the last months as the 21-year-old played and won the U23 Africa Cup of Nations with Morocco last summer. On this Tuesday, Richardson made his senior debut with Les Lions de l’Atlas during a friendly against Burkina Faso (1-0).

Kahiser Lenis (Panama) : few months after winning the Maurice Revello Tournament 2023 with Panama, the forward belonging to Colombian side Jaguares de Cordoba has earned his first international cap against Bolivia (2-1). Even better, the 23-year-old has netted the two goals scored by his national team. It’s fair to say that it was a successful debut !

Sebastian Acuna and Kenneth Vargas (Costa Rica) : after their participation at the World Cup, Los Ticos are rejuvenating their squad by introducing in the team notably some Maurice Revello Tournament 2023 graduates. 21-year-old midfielder Sebastian Acuna made his international debut against Saudi Arabia (3-1) while Heart of Midlothian new boy Kenneth Vargas played his first minutes during the friendly against United Arab Emirates.

Zaïd Amir (Comoros) : the 21-year-old forward, who impressed at the Maurice Revello Tournament 2022 by scoring two goals notably, has made his senior international debut with Comoros during the Africa Cup of Nations 2024 qualifier against Zambia (1-1).
