Loftus-Cheek, Kang-In Lee, Koulibaly... The Tournoi Maurice Revello graduates animate the transfer market

The 2023 summer transfer window is in full swing. Several Maurice Revello Tournament graduates have been involved in the different moves registered all around the world over the last weeks. Recap.

2003 Maurice Revello Tournament champion and fifth-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo has shown the way at the beginning of the year when he signed for Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr. Since then, several talented players have moved to Saudi Arabia, this summer particularly. Among the notable transfers, we can underline the Kalidou Koulibaly’s arrival at Al-Hilal from Chelsea or the signing of Jota at Al-Ittihad in a €30-million-deal after a fantastic stint at Celtic.

If numerous players try the Asian adventure, many of them prefer to continue their career in Europe. 2016 Maurice Revello Tournament best player Ruben Loftus-Cheek has joined last year’s Champions League semi-finalists AC Milan, as Luka Romero did. Meanwhile, Kang-In Lee moved from Mallorca to Paris Saint-Germain in a €22-million-deal.

As many players who will compete in the Champions League next season like Datro Fofana, captain of Ivory Coast at the 2023 Maurice Revello Tournament, and Alex Kral who both joined Union Berlin. The German team will discover the competition after finishing 4th in the Bundesliga in the last campaign.

It should also be noted that several 2023 Maurice Revello Tournament graduates have moved to another club this summer  : Australian youngsters Marco Tilio, Keegan Jelacic and Nectarios Triantis have joined respectively Celtic (Scotland), La Gantoise (Belgium) and Sunderland (England). These three players will discover Europe for the first time like Angel Orelien : named Second Best Player of the Maurice Revello Tournament 2023, the Panamanian has been signed by French Ligue 2 side USL Dunkerque after his heroics in Provence on June.
