Solly March is shining in the Premier League after injury nightmare

Summer 2014 : after enjoying his first season in the Championship with Brighton, Solly March has played the Toulon Tournament with England. The opportunity for the young English winger to test himself against promising defenders like Marquinhos as well as Joao Cancelo.

Selected at youth level for England, considered a first-team regular for Brighton, everything was going fine for Solly March at that moment. Football sounds like such a great life, but there are so many ups and downs.

During a league game against Derby County on December 2015, March has suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. The setback kept him out of action for 11 months ! “It was a long process and in some of the early months you are feeling the worst, thinking if you are ever going to be the same again”, he told the Argus.

Thanks to his work and his patience, March has eventually recovered from his knee-injury and made his come-back on November 2016. From this moment, he has lived a fairytale. While Brighton were waiting for a Premier League promotion since 34 years, March became a club hero as he scored against Wigan (2-1) the goal that secured a top-flight return for the Seagulls.

March continued his rehabilitation from his serious knee injury as he discovered the Premier League this season for the first time of his career. The 23-year-old midfielder has notably distinguished himself by scoring against Bournemouth on September.

March has already played 12 Premier League games so far and he is one of the Brighton most-used players in this current campaign. "I want to spend the rest of my career in the Premier League" he said to the Express.
