Dayot Upamecano, another French precocious youngster

Ousmane Dembélé, Kylian Mbappé or Thomas Lemar ... France has many great young attackers. In defense, Dayot Upamecano is in the spotlight for a couple of years. The centre-back is going to take part to the Toulon Tournament with the French team. Member of the national selection since U16, the Guinea-Bissau origin player has already shown his qualities at the highest level on several occasions in recent years. So now, even if he is only 18 years old, he is an important part of the Red Bull team, whether at Salzburg, or more recently at Leipzig.

Dayot Upamecano is particularly precocious. Indeed, the 1m88-player has caught the eye of many scouts during the Euro U17, won on 2015 by France. A few weeks later, he flies to Austria, after a 2.2M€-transfer from Valenciennes. A rare amount for a very young player.

Two years later, Upamecano has already a pretty decent career. He has won two titles in Austria, played in both European cups and joined RB Leipzig in Bundesliga. After setting himself in Germany, the man who can also play as defensive-midfielder is already full part of a very good team, in one of the best championships. This adaptation was facilitated by his two years spent at the heart of the Red Bull's network of teams, firstly in Austrian second division, at FC Liefering, also owned by the RB group, then in Salzburg. With this rapid acclimatization to the German championship, the young Frenchman confirms for the moment the great hopes placed in him.
