England reach the final after the win over Japan !

The Young Three Lions only needed a draw to secure a spot for the Toulon Tournament 2016 final and they reached their aim as England beat Japan (1-0). England took an early lead : fouled in the box, Swift earned a penalty and it was converted by Baker after 14 minutes. It’s the third goal scored by the Chelsea midfielder, who is now the joint top-scorer of the competition with Sehrou Guirassy (France). Then, Japan had some chances to equalise but Onaiwu, Notsuda and Minamino failed to level the scores.

During the second half, the Samuraï Blue were near to score the equalizer but the Notsuda’s volley hit the crossbar. Just before the hour mark, England were close to double their lead but the Swift’s free-kick hit the crossbar too ! Finally, England earned a fourth win in a row to complete perfect groupe stage. This Sunday, England will face France in the Toulon Tournament 2016 final.
