World Cup U20 : Delabre fires France into the last four, Germany come down to earth with a bang

 The U20 Women’s World Cup is held in France from 5th to 24th August. It should be noted that 64 players who took part in the Sud Ladies Cup compete in the World Cup. Throughout the competition, we will take look at their performances !

France – North Korea : 1-0

Beaten by North Korea in the World Cup U20 final two years ago, the French players got their revenge as they have beaten the Asian side on this Thursday. After netting a hat-trick in the last game, the youngster Amelie Delabre fired once again her team to the win as she netted the winning goal on a penalty in the first half.

Then, the Gilles Eyquem’s players managed to keep their advantage and were helped by Mylène Chavas, the Sud Ladies Cup 2018 best goalkeeper, who stopped the rare shots on target the North Koreans had during the rest of the game.

Germany – Japan : 1-3

Only team with a perfect record at the end of the group stage, Germany were outclassed by Japan. In the second half, the Asians scored three goals thanks to Endo, Ueki and Takarade in only fourteen minutes to secure a win. Germany reduced then deficit thanks to Minge but this goal was anecdotal…
