December has been a crazy month for PSV starlet Michal Sadilek

Could this be Michal Sadilek’s breakthrough season at PSV ? It was the question asked on September on our website. Obviously, that’s too early to have a definitive opinion but the answer to this question could be positive.

The 19-year-old midfielder, named in the Maurice Revello Tournament 2017 best XI, is starting to cement his place in the PSV first-team like illustrated by his tremendous month of December.

After making his professional debut on September, the Czech youngster has played his first Eredivisie game during the 6-0 win over Excelsior on 7th December. Four days later, Sadilek made his first ever Champions League appearance against Inter Milan (1-1). "Two weeks ago I was at the Herdgang (editor’s note : the PSV reserve team’s stadium) for 200 spectators and now for 70,000 people in San Siro. This has been a great week”, he said after the game.

Then, the PSV starlet enjoyed another unforgettable moment on 22nd December. While PSV and AZ were level at half-time, Sadilek came off the bench and gave the lead to his side by scoring his first professional goal ! Eventually, PSV earned a 3-1 win over : the Eredivise leaders took their tally to 16 wins in 17 league games !

“It is hard to describe the feeling. It was a wonderful evening”, told Sadilek to the PSV official website.
