Partnership : The Maurice Revello Tournament and the Sud Ladies Cup team up with StatsBomb

The Maurice Revello Tournament and the Sud Ladies Cup are pleased to announce the signing of a partnership with StatsBomb, the new official statistics provider for both competitions.

StatsBomb is the world’s fastest growing football data company. Founded by former analyst Ted Knutson, StatsBomb was formed to empower data analysis teams by ensuring they have access to the best football data set ever created.
Having started as an analytics blog, StatsBomb initially progressed to consulting on data-driven recruitment and performance analysis for professional teams. In 2018, having become frustrated with limitations of the data available at the time, StatsBomb acquired ArqamFC, a data collection company based in Cairo, Egypt, and started to collect and supply its own data.
The introduction of StatsBomb data was a turning point for the analysis of football as it introduced previously unavailable metrics such as pressures, the height of the ball at the point of shot impact, goalkeeper positioning, freeze frames for shots and the foot with which each pass is played.
In 2021, StatsBomb improved this data even further with the launch of StatsBomb 360, adding a snapshot of all visible player locations to more than 3,400 on-the-ball events that are collected per match. Having gained rapid traction since its inception, StatsBomb is now servicing customers across the professional game, as well as betting and gaming operators, and is active in over 25 countries.

Through this new partnership, the Maurice Revello Tournament and the Sud Ladies Cup will have state-of-the-art statistical reports on the various matches played in their competitions. This data will offer our community new ways to follow the tournaments through innovative and varied content based on the study of match data.

« Beyond the pitch with Statsbomb

Football is lived on the pitch. Only the truth of the ground is important to fans, spectators and viewers. Only the moment can provide the adrenalin that is essential for major competitions.
But how can we ignore the data collected by statisticians? They allow fans to comment, coaches to target strengths and weaknesses and players to perfect their technique and sense of anticipation.
By wishing to become the statistics operator for the Maurice Revello Tournament and the Sud Ladies Cup, Statsbomb has convinced us of its strength of penetration in the football world. For a few years now, stats have been making a splash in the world of football. By recording 3400 events per game thanks to computer vision technology and human intervention, Statsbomb has won the bet of precision and reliability.
That's why we're excited about this new partnership and we're already looking forward to reading the reports of each match, the studies of the young players from all continents who will become tomorrow's stars of the football planet.
Welcome Statstomb in the Maurice Revello Tournament family !
