Maurice Revello Tournament 2018 best XI

The Maurice Revello Tournament 2018 has come to an end, with England triumphant, beating Mexico 2-1. Find out below who makes the team of the tournament.

Freddie Woodman (England) : The Newcastle United keeper was named best goalkeeper of the Maurice Revello Tournament 2018. He has notably kept a clean sheet against Mexico during the group stage and was consistent throughout the competition.


Jorge Sanchez (Mexico) :
The Club America new right-back established himself as a key player for “El Tri” during the Toulon Tournament 2018 thanks to his relentless energy and his barrelling runs down the rught.

Cesar Montes (Mexico) : Even if he missed the final due to an injury, the Mexican captain distinguished himself as he guided the defensive line with great personality.

Dael Fry (England) : The Middlesbrough defender has excelled defensively (5 games started) and offensively (2 goals scored). He has been, without doubt, one of the Young Lions’ best players.

Romain Perraud (France) : Despite the group stage exit faced by France, the OGC Nice left-back has shone thanks to his ability to cross and link up with his teammates.    

Billy Gilmour (Scotland) : He is only 17 and has taken the Maurice Revello Tournament 2018 by storm. Gifted technically, the Chelsea player has impressed the observers despite his young age. He is clearly one to watch.


Lewis Cook (England) :
 He was probably one of the most experienced players of this competition and justified his reputation thanks to a number of strong displays. He was named second best player of the tournament.


Diego Lainez (Mexico) :
 Rated as one of the best youngsters of his country, the Club America starlet has scored one goal and registered three assists. Also, the ball seems to stick to his feet by some magnetic force. He won the Maurice Revello Tournament 2018 best player award.


Lee Kangin (South Korea) :
 
The Valencia midfielder has clearly a great potential. Despite the group stage exit faced by his nation, the South Korean youngster has distinguished himself by scoring three goals including a stunner against Togo.

Michael Johnston (Scotland) : The Celtic FC player has been a constant threat for his opponents during the whole competition. He established himself as one of the key players of the Scottish side and has notably scored a fantastic goal against England in the semi-finals

Eduardo Aguirre (Mexico) : The Club Santos Laguna striker finished as the tournament’s top scorer with 7 goals. He has matched the record of goals scored in a single Maurice Revello Tournament edition. Only Alan Shearer (1991) and Marco Fabian (2012) did that before.
