As in the first round played on Thursday at the Stade Parsemain in Fos-sur-Mer, the U20 teams of France and Tunisia played out a draw this Sunday at the Stade d'Honneur in Mallemort (0-0).
Under an almost summery sun, France and Tunisia could not take the lead in a rhythmic and very tight game. Although France dominated possession and territory, the Aigles de Carthage were dangerous on several occasions when they played into the Bleuets camp. They could even have opened the score if Hamdi Labidi's goal had not been disallowed for a hand on his control. Etoile du Sahel midfielder Motaz Zaddem found the bar with a header in the second half.
On the French side, Adil Aouchiche's sublime free-kick was saved by Elias Damergy, and Georginio Rutter's powerful header in the second was close to find the net.
